Backcountry Pizza’s reputation as a cozy, funky must-stop place for damned fine pizza was built on a dream, when Riel (a.k.a. the Pizza Boss) bought a little business that needed some love.

Long-time F&B guy, Riel, and his friend, pizza aficionado Leigh, re-opened the restaurant with its old name, a new menu, and the freshest, best ingredients they could find in November 2017.

The Backcountry Pizza family includes a strong, dedicated staff, along with his partner, kids and doodle dogs, all living in Pemberton.
